FOURTUNE

The four members of Fourtune all met in Just in Time Choirs’ Jems treble ensemble, and from this connection the group was conceived. Amanda Low (percussion) a life-long singer, also sang in the Canadian Military Wives Choir Comox for several years. Jacquie DeLong (keyboards, guitar) has performed in numerous choirs and vocal groups throughout her life. Jane Dunnett (guitar, bass, mandolin) who is also a member of Watershed Band, has been motivated by music all her life and happily embraces new musical opportunities. Tracey Alvarez (uke) has been an experienced musician from a young age and has performed for special events throughout BC.

Since its inception, the group has applied their vocal skills by creating harmonies and accompanying with a rootsy, contemporary vibe. In the past year, Fourtune has opened for the Discovery Singers Choir concert in Campbell River, entertained in care homes, 40 Knots Winery, local pubs, and for the Glacier Grannies’ annual fundraiser. It is ‘fourtunate’ these four musicians have an opportunity to share their music with you!
