In October 2025, Joyce R. tasked the Glacier Grannies with selling all of her furniture, antiques, silver, china, jewelry, household effects, and sports equipment in preparation for the sale of her home and her move to Berwick. All proceeds of the sale would go to the Grannies and the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign. During March, April, and May 2026, Joanne W., Maybeth H., Lisa M. and Barb T. led a dedicated and hardworking team of 29 Grannies to accomplish this massive undertaking. Joyce R. was present and actively involved throughout the whole process. Grannies with specialized skills took on specific areas of expertise: Joanne W – financial and legal, Maybeth H. - scheduling, logistics, and coordination, Barb T. - paperwork and office declutter, Lisa M furniture - antiques, china and silver, Kathy N. and Clare F. - jewelry, gold and silver, Bette A. and Virginia P. - fine art, Donna T. - kitchen, pantry and laundry, Linda M. - personal clothing, Lydia R. and Virginia P. - advertising and signage, Lydia R. - follow up sales. The rest of the team sorted, decluttered, priced, delivered, hauled, carried, cleaned and organized. Sales were held on April 17, 18 and 19 at Joyce’s home, with leftover items been taken to the Spring Sales on May 9 and 16. A few remaining items were sold to a specialized buyer in Victoria, listed on Marketplace, or put on consignment.

The atmosphere throughout all three sales days was cheerful and upbeat, and the crowds of buyers were enthusiastic, and appreciative of the excellent quality of the items for sale. For the Grannies, it was a very satisfying, if exhausting time.

On May 27 Joyce hosted a celebration lunch for the Granny movers at her home to express her gratitude for our hard work on her behalf.

Throughout the entire project we were able to educate the public about the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign and the Stephen Lewis Foundation. This was a very successful fundraising campaign: total sales from this project were $26,745.09.
