Every year we plan a beautiful concert in the park, but this year the weather was against us. The wind blew and the rain fell, but our gallant musicians kept on playing. Their hair blew across their faces, their music almost blew off the stands, and their hands were numb with cold. Despite the challenges, they would not give up.

The stoic audience was equally determined to listen to every beautiful piece, despite having to huddle in raincoats, and trying to prevent their umbrellas from being blown away.

Despite the wind and rain, the audience was treated to a wonderful afternoon of music. The Watershed Band, consisting of Jane Dunnett (guitar, bass, mandolin), John Brown (guitar, harmonica) and Keith Goddard (guitar, bass, lap steel), performed roots, rock and bluesy tunes with new twists in tempo, instrument changes, and rich 3-part harmonies.

Fourtune applied their vocal skills to creating harmonies, which they accompanied with a rootsy, conemporary vibe. Their members are Amanda Low (percussion), Jacquie De Long (Keyboards, guitar), Jane Dunnett (guitar, bass, mandolin and Tracey Alvarez (uke).
