One Moment In Time

Title:  "Vignettes - A Day in the Life of..."

Florence had a wonderful idea about doing a fabric art piece for the "Turning the Tide...one ripple at a time" project involving post cards. I thought I had the perfect fabric from Tanzania to carry out this theme, so I asked her if we could work together.

Florence agreed, but we soon realized that what we wanted to convey would not be easy. We worked together once a week for a time and then the little postcards came to life. We called our project "Vignettes - A Day in the Life of....".

Life in Africa, as anywhere, takes on a familiarity of tasks, and these wonderful little glimpses through the postcards allows us to share in their day-to-day lives.

They, as we do, get up in the morning, put one foot in front of the other, do their chores, and take enjoyment wherever they can. So, we say, to Africa from Canada with love from Florence and Margaret.
