Title: One Day at a Time
The sun is rising over Africa and rain clouds are on the horizon. Viewed from this distance, everything
seems peaceful, except that the continent of Africa seems perhaps too large. The actual image came from the latest version of Google Earth, and I highly recommend it. With this program, you can approach the earth from any angle and even make it spin.
While talking with a friend, I mentioned how large the continent of Africa seemed and her answer was quite profound. She said, “Yes, it is large. We've been looking at maps that are distorted because they're flat. When you actually look at the satellite images of earth, you see that Africa is much bigger."
Then she said, "What we call the third world is, in reality, two thirds of the world."
