Huge Driveway Craft Sale

When: Saturday, July 24

Where: 1021 Kingsley Crescent, Comox

After months of being unable to sell our wares due to Covid, we held a craft sale in the beautiful and spacious driveway at Barb and James T’s house where many tents and canopies were erected to provide shade.

It was a wonderful day. The weather was gorgeous, the location ideal, and our tables were loaded with beautiful items for sale. Many crafts, such as beach bags, smocked sun dresses for toddlers, neck coolers, and children’s towelling robes, were perfect for summer, but customers enthusiastically bought our other useful and decorative creations as well. Dog toys were a new addition. Kathy N.’s jewelry table and our home baking were also very popular.

A constant stream of customers kept us on our toes, and the atmosphere was festive and cheerful.  more

A total of $4,190.91 was raised for the Stephen Lewis Foundation.

A huge thank you to Barb and James for hosting the event, and to all who worked so hard making crafts through the hot summer. Also thanks to those who laboured to make the event a success: advertising, creating and putting up signs, setting up tents and tables, arranging sales items, baking, donating jewelry, and selling crafts, jewelry and baking. Of course, there is the inevitable packing up at the end, and keeping track of the finances – a big thank you to those who helped with those tasks.
