Textile Art for Africa - One Wild Animal at a Time

Title:  Wild Africa

Annemarie was keenly interested in joining with a community of quilters who make quilts to raise money for children, parents, and grandparents in Africa.

When she discovered the quilts were to have an African theme, she decided she wanted to sew one with elephants and giraffes.

Fortunately, her sewing instructor found a recycled shirt with elephants and giraffes on it, and cut them out for her to quilt.

The excitement and knowledge that she would be helping others an ocean away, are sewn into the quilt that Annemarie made.

Dimensions:  23"W x 23"H

Artist:   Annemarie Taylor (age 8), Courtenay, BC
